Bushnellsville Creek Falls

My first trip to Bushnellsville Creek Falls. This is a roadside waterfall found along Route 42. I think during a heavier flow of water the first tier would be more robust and produce a nice photograph.

Minekill Falls

This was my second trip to Minekill Falls. My first trip was last year though we did not hike to the bottom where the falls were located. Even though it is a short hike to the bottom the park area closes insanely early and that was the issue on the first trip. The closing time in May 2007 was 4pm and from what it appears it is strictly enforced.

Route 2 Cascade (small waterfall)

A cascade of small waterfalls along Route 2. It was a very bright day and it was difficult to get a well exposed photo. This would would be great to visit again especially at a strong flow.

Diamond Notch Falls

I revisited Diamond Notch Falls on May 25, 2007. The drive to the falls was simple and open. The short easy hike to falls was open but a bit muddy. Unfortunately at the falls a large tree has fallen on top of Diamond Notch Falls. Also I think due to the cooler weather this spring (especially at night) much of the trees have not fully green. The waterflow at this time is greater than my previous trips to Diamond Notch Falls.

Ecopus Creek Crossing

After visiting Diamond Notch Falls I decided to drive south on Route 42 to Route 28. I headed east on Route 28 towards Kingston.

The small town of Phoenicia has a nice strip of stores and places to eat.
This photo shows a schoolbus crossing over Ecopus Creek just outside of Phoenicia on Route 28.
