Railroad Crossing

A former railroad crossing over a creek. It is located between Kaaterskill Junction and Tannersville on the Kaaterskill Branch. There is evidence that a wood replacement crossing was installed. This wood has since been lost. The original steel structure was probably removed in 1941. Currently this section of the ROW is used a lot by snowmobiles and there are warnings on both sides of the crossing to alert riders.
