The Tribute in Light first ran as a temporary installation from March 11 to April 14, 2002. The Tribute in Light was launched again in 2003 to mark the second anniversary of the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center. As of 2010, the Tribute in Light has been repeated every year on September 11. It was announced that 2008 would be the Tribute in Light's final year.

The Tribute in Light is held each year since the September 11 attacks of New York City (NYC). The Tribute in Light is an art installation of 88 searchlights placed next to the site of the World Trade Center to create two vertical columns of light in remembrance of the September 11 attacks.

Bastion Falls is located on Route 23A and is at the start of the trail-head for Kaaterskill Falls. This week Bastion Falls brought many cars to a stop on Route 23A as they drove on the hairpin curve that passes this roadside waterfall.

Kaaterskill Falls is a two-drop waterfall located in the eastern Catskill Mountains of New York (on the north side of Kaaterskill Clove). The dual cascades of Kaaterskill Falls total 260 feet (79 m) in height, making it one of the higher waterfalls in New York.
