The Sullivan County Catskill region maintains thousands of acres of campgrounds with fertile streams and lakes to fish and scenic mountain trails to hike. We have some terrific state campgrounds, all with clean water and beautiful trails. Our personal favorite is Mongaup Pond – 275 acres of wilderness, with a 122 acre pond. They have a boat launching area, canoe rentals, a handicapped accessible fishing dock, a fish hatchery, and scenic mountain trails. Head there for some of the most breathtaking fall foliage viewing ever.
