Mount Tremper is officially known as Tremper Mountain. It was originally called Timothyberg and is located in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. Mount Tremper is located near Phoenicia (in the valley of Esopus Creek in Ulster County).
Mount Tremper is 2,740 feet (840 m) in elevation.
Mount Tremper is well below the higher peaks of the region. There is a firetower located on the top of Tremper Mounataion that offers great views of the surrounding area of the Catskills.
